Alexis Sanchez reportedly complained to Manchester United about a fridge next to him

Alexis Sanchez has not really had a great time at Manchester United

Since moving to Old Trafford from Arsenal in a deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go in the opposite direction, Alexis Sanchez has failed to get anywhere close to recapturing his best form.

Barring a few flickers of quality, the Chilean striker has struggled to do anything of significant quality for Jose Mourinho’s side, and a recent story in the Times suggests that – rather unsurprisingly – he is not very happy at all at the club.

According to the report, Sanchez has been severely affected by the end of his long term relationship with Mayte Rodriguez, something which has affected all areas of his life, including his job.

On top of this, the former Arsenal man is said to miss the hustle and bustle of the bright lights of London, and is reportedly hugely unimpressed with the style of football deployed by his manager.

Perhaps the most intriguing and definitely most ridiculous report of discontent from Sanchez relates to something which few, if any of us, could have ever assumed. It relates to a fridge.

The fridge in question was reportedly next to Sanchez’ locker in Manchester United’s dressing room, but it was unfortunately making his little legs all cold.

The rumour about the fridge first emerged in respected fanzine United We Stand, where it was alleged that that Sanchez complained to staff about the temperature emitted from the fridge.

If this story teaches us one thing it is to not judge footballers. Yes, they are very wealthy, but they are often going through things we could never imagine, such as cold legs.
