It’s Friday, Friday / Gotta get down on Friday / Everybody’s looking forward to the weekend, weekend
The immortal words of viral sensation Rebecca Black, as I’m sure you’ve tried – and failed – to forget. But despite the derision her hit single received, you cannot deny the degree of truth in the lyric, “Gotta get down on Friday.” One simply must get down on a Friday. You’ve earned it slogging away all week. Wasting time making coffee you don’t actually want in the kitchen just to avoid looking at a computer screen for five minutes, pretending to take phone calls so you can get up and go into another room for a bit to have a quick game of Stick Cricket, convincing yourself you did in fact choose the right career.
Anyway, enough about my week, onto the quiz – the best way to get down on Friday.
This week, round one focuses on war films, asking you to identify the film from the still image. Round two is general knowledge, with a focus on geography. Round three is sport, celebrating some of the great black athletes of the world during Black History Month. Round four is about the greatest British sitcom of all time, Peep Show, asking you to match the quote to the character. And round five is about the chaotic nonsense that is British parliament.
