Pam and Tommy sex tape remade by Lily James and Sebastian Stan in new series teaser

The series drops February 2

Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s infamous 1990s sex tape has been remade by Lily James and Sebastian Stan in the new trailer for a forthcoming TV series.

Pam & Tommy drops on Disney+ at the beginning of next month.

Back in 1995, the couple – who were one of Hollywood’s most glamorous power duos at the time – had a sex tape stolen from their house by a visiting electrician.

The couple had only met months earlier, on New Year’s Eve 1994, and married a few months later on a beach in Cancun in Mexico.

At the time of their marriage, estimates suggest the couple had only spent around 96 hours together.

However history was made when the couple’s privately-filmed sex tape made it into the public domain.

Rand Gauthier, a former adult film star turned electrician, stole the sex tape which was believed to have been filmed during the couple’s honeymoon. It is also believed to have been the first celebrity sex tape to have been sold on the internet.

Fast-forward to 2022 and the first-look at the re-created sex scene features in a teaser trailer ahead of the release of limited series Pam & Tommy.

Seth Rogen joins James and Stan in the trailer, playing electrician and former porn star Gauthier.

Pam, played by James, is also seen filming scenes for Baywatch as news about the sex tape leak reaches her and Lee.

The trailer shows Stan on top of James, who has her legs up and curled around his torso as they film the love scenes.

The trailer also shows Rogen watching the video with a co-star and commenting: “This is so private.”

Lee has backed the dramatisation. “The story is actually cool. What actually happened wasn’t,” he told Entertainment Tonight. He added: “I think a lot of people would think that it’s one thing, but it’s really about privacy and how things got crazy then.”

Courtney Love, another icon from the era who was married to late-Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, has said she thinks the film exploits the “complex trauma” Anderson in particular went through following the film’s leak. “My heart goes out to Pammy,” she wrote on Facebook, according to E Online.

Anderson herself has yet to comment on the film.

In real life, the duo dated on and off until 2010.
