Journalist claims Angelina Jolie filed abuse claims against Brad Pitt

Pitt denies all the accusations

Angelina Jolie has been identified as the anonymous person who sued the FBI over its decision to close an investigation into abuse claims she made against Brad Pitt.

Writing for Puck, journalist Eriq Gardner identified the plaintiff in the case as Jolie “based on the timeline, the details of the incident, and the powerful attorney involved.”

In the lawsuit, the plaintiff alleges being assaulted by her “then-husband” on a private plane in 2016.

Jolie reportedly told an FBI agent that Pitt “physically and verbally assaulted” her and their children when they were aboard the plane.

Pitt allegedly took Jolie to the back of the plane, grabbed her by the shoulders and shouted “You’re f**king up this family” at her.

Later on the same flight, Jolie alleged that her then-husband poured beer on her and placed his hands on their son Maddox.

But the agent who Jolie told all this too decided not to pursue criminal charges after meeting with the assistant US attorney. This led Jolie to anonymously file for a Freedom of Information Act suit against the FBI in April in order to obtain the documents relating to the case.

She complained about a lack of transparency regarding why the investigation was closed, according to Puck.

Gardner wrote that “Jolie is indeed the plaintiff in the F.B.I. suit.”

Sources close to Pitt told TMZ that they believe she only filed the lawsuit against the FBI in order to bring up the allegations against him once more, and that she in fact already had access to the information she was requesting.

Jolie’s complaint, which was amended on August 9, said: “Ms. Doe has been seeking the withheld information for [several] years in an effort to ensure that her children receive qualified…care and…counseling to address harm suffered.

“Information withheld by DOJ and the FBI contains evidence of the harm.

“The persistent denial of that information to Ms. Doe…a victim of the assault herself — has hampered, and continues to hamper, her efforts to obtain for her children necessary ongoing care and medical attention, and has further harmed the children in the family law system.”

When reports emerged of the altercation on the jet in 2016, Pitt denied all the allegations.

His team told People: “He is emphatic that it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed.

“He did not hit his child in the face in any way. He did not do that; he is emphatic about that. He put his hands on him, yes, because the confrontation was spiraling out of control.”

Shortly after the alleged incident, the celebrity couple divorced.

Last year, Pitt was granted joint custody of five of his six children after a lengthy battle with Jolie.

She had wanted full custody of the children.
