Adele fans have ‘mad respect’ for her after she stopped her Hyde Park gig to help someone in distress

She was performing in the UK for the first time since 2017

Adele has given her fans even more reason to love her, after stopping her gig to help out an audience member.

The ‘Hello’ singer took the the stage in Hyde Park on Friday, in what was her first UK gig in five years.

The London-born star was singing the first line of her James Bond hit ‘Skyfall’ when she noticed that an audience member in distress. She paused the show and called for security to take the struggling fan out of the crowd.

“Hold on, stop, stop,” she said, “Security, do you need security’s help?” she asked the fans.

“Right in the middle there, can you see where they’re all waving? Can you see over there? Can you get in there?” she asked staff.

“They’re coming, they’re coming, they’re coming right through now,” she told the fans, encouraging others to “make room”.

Fans have been singing her praises ever since, adding that she didn’t just call over the steward, but walked over herself so she could see exactly what was happening.

Posting on Twitter, one fan said: “Just wanna say mad respect to Adele for stopping the show and making a scene when she thought someone was in trouble and needed help from security. That was a crowd of 65,000+ and she still did it. it really is that easy.”

“What a boss,” another fan said on Twitter. “Queen,” one simply added.
