"I'm obviously concentrating on Manchester United," Rooney said, during an interview with The Seattle Times.
"When that time comes, [MLS] will be something that I will think about. I'll sit down with my wife and children and decide if it would be right for me."
United are in Seattle ahead of their opening pre-season friendly, against Club America, and Rooney's current contract has another four years to go. By which time the forward will be almost 34.
The perfect time to move to MLS? Who knows, but Robbie Keane will probably still be the league's MVP in 2019.
