Pearce was as excited as every man, woman and child in Ireland when Wes Hoolahan opened the scoring against Sweden in Paris - if not more so. Seamus Coleman cut the ball back across the penalty area, finding Hoolahan unmarked, who smashed it home before running off like Marco Tardelli circa 1982.
