Nate Diaz is still absolutely huge just three weeks out from Conor McGregor fight

Boxing coach claims he weighs 200lbs...

Conor McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh recently estimated that his star pupil walks around at about 175 lbs.

That’s not much of an issue for ‘The Notorious’ when he’s fighting at welterweight as he undergoes an almost non-existent weight cut.

McGregor fights at 170 lbs for the second time on August 20, when he faces Nate Diaz in a rematch of their UFC 196 meeting which Diaz claimed with a second round submission victory.

Diaz was the bigger man on that March night and he’s likely to be considerably bigger again in three weeks’ time as, according to boxing coach Ricky Funez, Diaz is currently close to 200 lbs.

Diaz, who usually fights at lightweight, has put on a healthy bit of muscle over the summer and he will have a lot more weight to cut than McGregor if Funez’s claims are to be believed.

The Stockton fighter recently dropped in to Funez’s gym Ten Goose Boxing in order to get a bit of sparring under his belt and Funez revealed on his Instagram that Diaz is the same weight as most middleweights would be at this stage of training camp.

Who knows whether it’s a mind game or true but one thing’s for sure and that’s that Nate Diaz is looking pretty thick.
