Tyson Fury’s rematch against Wladimir Klitschko could yet take place in the UK

Having got the better of Wladimir Klitschko in Germany, Tyson Fury could benefit from home field advantage when the pair next meet.

Fury's next fight will "definitely" come against the Ukrainian, according to promoter Mick Hennessy, and the proposed fight is thought to have a realistic chance of being held on these shores. According to the Daily Mirror, Fury's camp are looking at "June or July" for the rematch, a change from the earlier reported May 7 date. Fury's uncle and trainer Peter confirmed nothing has been finalised with team Klitschko, though the Manchester Arena has emerged as a potential venue for the fight. Fury's victory last November was against all odds, and has given the world heavyweight champion his choice of opponents. However, Hennessy told Sky Sports: "[A rematch is] the fight that we want and for us, it's the only fight and the main fight in the heavyweight division." Several locations have been floated for the second meeting between the Mancunian and his 39-year-old adversary, including Germany, Ireland and the UAE. Fury has even reportedly turned down a private fight on a yacht in front of an exclusive audience of just 120 people, despite the proposal being hugely financially lucrative. He has never fought in his home city, however, and the opportunity to take on Klitschko in his back yard might be one he cannot refuse.
