This deleted post on Jurgen Klopp from Liverpool’s website could make for embarrassing reading

As we know, Brendan Rodgers is gone and Jurgen Klopp is waiting to take the hotseat while the corpse of the Ulsterman's Liverpool career is still warm.

With that in mind, it would be embarrassing if a former Reds player had compared the two. On top of that, imagine if Liverpool's official Twitter account had run a quote as easily misconstrued as 'Rodgers can do a Klopp'. Just think of the fun that internet wags could have with that. Oh. The news story to which it refers is no longer on Liverpool's website, but we've found an archived version and it doesn't get better for Brendan. The comments in question are from Nuri Sahin, a player with whom Klopp worked wonders at Borussia Dortmund. Sahin was one of Rodgers' first signings as Liverpool boss, joining on loan from Real Madrid, and it's fair to say his time there was a massive let-down. The Turkish midfielder left Anfield after just a handful of games, and would later admit on his return to Dortmund: "I can only play 100 per cent when I am happy. This wasn't the case at Madrid and Liverpool."   "He changed a lot, bringing his own philosophy in. It took a while for everybody to follow it," Sahin said of Klopp. "As a character he is a person who relates to the player. I can see Brendan doing the same. Brendan's character was very influential in me coming here." Philosophy and character. It's like Brendan bingo.
