Robinho is pushing for a remarkable Premier League return

The transfer deadline may have passed, but any player who was already a free agent is still able to join a new club.

One such player is Robinho, and the former Manchester City star has his eyes on a Premier League comeback, six years after his last competitive game in England. According to the Daily Mail, representatives for the 32-year-old have been in touch with Leicester City and Swansea City, both of whom let forwards leave during the window. Robinho was Manchester City's record signing when he joined from Real Madrid for around £33m in 2008. He top-scored for the club in his first season but struggled for games after the arrival of Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor, and left for AC Milan in the summer of 2010. His most recent football came in China, with Guangzhou Evergrande, but he is free to talk to other clubs after parting ways with Luiz Felipe Scolari's team. Leicester let striker Andrej Kramaric leave on loan during the transfer window while Swansea allowed Eder to do the same, so both clubs could be tempted to take a punt on another forward.
