Robinho was Manchester City's record signing when he joined from Real Madrid for around £33m in 2008.
He top-scored for the club in his first season but struggled for games after the arrival of Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor, and left for AC Milan in the summer of 2010.
His most recent football came in China, with Guangzhou Evergrande, but he is free to talk to other clubs after parting ways with Luiz Felipe Scolari's team.
Leicester let striker Andrej Kramaric leave on loan during the transfer window while Swansea allowed Eder to do the same, so both clubs could be tempted to take a punt on another forward.
