PIC: Newspaper puts wrong player in Johan Cruyff photo tribute

The late, great Johan Cruyff had a very distinctive look in his playing days.

The floppy dark hair, the boyband looks, the nimble frame of a man capable of doing anything at any given time, and that world-famous Oranje shirt. Unfortunately for The Guardian's picture editor, so did Cruyff's Dutch international team-mate Rob Rensenbrink. The paper ran a picture special to pay tribute to Cruyff, and you can probably guess what happened. https://twitter.com/football_oranje/status/713141548582625280 At first glance you can perhaps see why they made the mistake - as well as the physical similarities, the pair are separated in age by less than three months. But one crucial clue is there - Cruyff famously wore the number 14 (hence the minute's silence planned for the Netherlands' next game) with Rensenbrink's shorts bearing 15. Rensenbrink, a team-mate of Cruyff's in the 1974 World Cup final, is very much alive and well.
