After a cagey 1-1 draw and 30 minutes of uneventful extra time, Germany vs. Italy exploded in one of the most engaging penalty shootout in tournament history. This wasn't the calm and collected Germany penalty taking side we knew. Or the cooly efficient Italian penalty taking outfit from Euro 2000.
