Nobody can quite believe Jack Wilshere was picked ahead of Danny Drinkwater in England squad

Heads were scratched raw and eyebrows raised to fringes when England's final Euro 2016 squad was released on Tuesday afternoon. The glaring inclusion was that of Jack Wilshere, who has started just one game all season for Arsenal, being named ahead of Premier League winner Danny Drinkwater. Drinkwater had been a stalwart for Claudio Ranieri's giantkilling Leicester throughout the season and was in many Premier League Team of the Year selections from fans and pundits alike. But Roy Hodgson is a Wilshere guy through and through, and Drinkwater paid the price.
