Mario Balotelli is still costing Liverpool an awful lot of money

Mario Balotelli's stay on Merseyside appears to be permanently over, even though his move back to Milan is only a loan.

But it seems that Liverpool are still footing the bill for plenty of the Italian's wages. According to a report in The Mirror, Liverpool are still paying the former Manchester City man £60,000 per week. Such was their desperation to get rid of Balotelli, Liverpool were content to let the striker leave a year after spending £16m on him. Added to this, they've not received any loan fee from Milan, making the deal quite a costly affair for the Anfield club.
