Manchester United place huge bid for Thomas Muller, say reports

Following recent reports in the English press that Thomas Muller was keen to make the move Manchester United, German paper Sport Bild has joined the fun. Clearly visible on the cover of Wednesday's edition, it states that Manchester United have now bid €85m (just shy of £60m in real money) for the German international. Having heard all summer long from Bayern Munich hierarchy that Muller will be staying put in Bavaria, Louis van Gaal is reportedly not taking no for an answer. Like recent acquisition Bastian Schweinsteiger, Muller also played under the current United coach during his spell at Bayern Munich. With more and more reports being published about the potential move, the United faithful should probably expect Muller to sign a lucrative new contract at Bayern within the coming weeks.
