The 29-year-old, who was playing non-league football less than five years ago, is the Premier League's top goalscorer after finding the net 16 times in 23 games.
He had reportedly been the subject of interest from top-flight rivals Chelsea and Liverpool, while Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri was also forced to issue Real Madrid with a hands-off warning.
After securing his long-term future, Vardy's focus will now be on helping the league leaders sustain their remarkable 2015/16 season and locking down his place in Roy Hodgson's squad for Euro 2016.
