There's nothing quite like a cheesy joke.

Especially one that requires an enviable level of commitment. https://twitter.com/dramirezf/status/737439191265611776 Or one that takes an age between set-up and punchline. https://twitter.com/DrFNFurter/status/1735237290 https://twitter.com/DrFNFurter/status/464259582358220800 We've already provided you with a selection of some of our favourite dad jokes and a collection of some of Twitter's best football gags, but one supporter has managed to combine the two. Iceland made their tournament debut against Portugal in Saint-Etienne, and the forward planning that went into this will have been impressive. Ok, maybe it was a spur-of-the-moment thing, but we like to think they first came up with the idea when the Icelanders were in a play-off for a place at the last World Cup in Brazil. They missed out then, but after Lars Lagerbäck and Heimir Hallgrímsson's team qualified for Euro 2016 they will have needed to book specific match tickets, organise flights to Saint-Etienne and sort out accommodation in the city. It's quite the commitment, and would have required quite the financial outlay, not to mention time off work. A couple of days (at least) in France and hundreds of pounds. All for this. https://twitter.com/Crap90sFootball/status/742793833281359872 Totally worth it. Even with the 5p carrier bag charge.
