We're still getting over the fact that Conor McGregor has lost a mixed martial arts bout for the first time since 2010.

The Irish fighter was a strong favourite to see off the challenge of Nate Diaz, but the Stockton native upset the odds despite only coming into the fight as a last-minute replacement for the injured Rafael Dos Anjos. A taller, rangier opponent than many McGregor has faced in the recent past, Diaz secured a second round submission when 'The Notorious' tapped out. And as some have noticed, the Dubliner had some strong words to say about such a manner of defeat just last year in an interview with Esquire, while discussing his 38-second defeat to Joe Duffy back in 2010. It's clearly one thing to say it, and quite another to put it into practice. https://twitter.com/kenearlys/status/706364741137133569
