The poll to name the £200m Antarctic research vessel is the current internet champion thanks to a number of hilarious suggestions.
But will the NERC vessel, which is planned to set sail around Antarctica and the Arctic in 2019, actually be named RRS Boaty McBoatface?

Unfortunately, the answer could be no. Deep in the poll's terms and conditions, the website states "the final name will be selected by NERC."
