Are police giving the green light to the decriminalisation of weed in this country, or is it all just a smokescreen?
Budding drug enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that arrests for possession of cannabis fell by almost a third since 2011 after police budgets took a big hit.
According to the most recent figures from the Crime Survey for England and Wales, whilst the amount of cannabis-related arrests fell, the amount of people smoking weed in the UK actually increased over the same amount of time.
In 2010, 6.5% of adults in the UK were using the drug, compared to 6.7% today. It's no surprise, as the calls for the legalisation of weed seem to only be getting louder as the debate drags on.

Two American states have totally legalised marijuana for recreational use, and the US government has even admitted that it may be
beneficial for your health.
In the UK,
parliament debated the issue after a petition forced it onto the agenda in Westminster.
It certainly seems like it will be difficult for anti-marijuana campaigners to stem the tide of support that has grown for its legalisation. After all, it's pretty hard to argue with points like this...
