The team found that drinking wine at night also helped people feel fuller and reduced the chance of late night snacking – which is one of the biggest culprits to weight gain.
The research was then backed up by a second study from Harvard’s weight gain study of 20,000 people - which revealed that out of all of those that gained a large amount of weight, none of them were drinkers.
