It sounds utterly bonkers but sports scientist
Ross Edgley is doing just that.
The former international athlete is taking on the mother of all New Year fitness challenges.
He's genuinely going to attempt to pull a 1,400kg MINI Countryman the entire distance of a marathon around Silverstone race circuit.
For mere mortals the 26.2-mile marathon distance is tough enough - but Edgley will have a car strapped to his back.

He wanted to do it to 'test the limits of human performance' while
raising money for his former coach's nephew who was diagnosed with a rare type of brain tumour called PNET.
Edgley, who is a sports scientist at The Protein Works, has been hard at training for eight months to take on the challenge on January 22.
“To really make a difference I thought I have to do something big," he said. "Something I could do that would push the boundaries of human physical excellence and capture people’s attention.
"So after speaking to friends it was agreed. Running a marathon is good, but running a marathon pulling a car is crazy and newsworthy. So for the past eight months that’s what I’ve been training to do.”
He will raise money for
Teenage Cancer Trust, Children With Cancer, Sports Aid and United Through Sport.
