It turns out Chris Evans can’t even do the bare minimum required of a Top Gear presenter

Being a Top Gear presenter seems like a relatively easy job.

You drive around a few fancy cars, crack a few jokes, try not to verbally assault any of the production crew and then go home for the day. But for the show's new host Chris Evans, things are proving to be a little more difficult, as apparently he's struggling to master the art of talking while driving. According to The Sun, Evans is holding up production of the new series as he sometimes needs as many as ten takes to get a shot right as he continuously messes up his lines while trying to drive at the same time. A source within the show told The Sun: "Chris is really struggling to master the art of driving and talking to camera, which is crucial. He is in a massive sweat about it because he often ends up fluffing his lines. "The professional drivers are doing a lot more to cover for him and the camera crew are getting frustrated." Former Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond apparently had no such trouble, reportedly nailing the majority of their segments on the first attempt. The new series is set to launch on BBC2 in May, but crew are worried that Evans's struggle may delay production further.
